The 2017 "To Serve & Protect Park of Honor" will be proudly presented by the Kiwanis Club of Westfield on Nov. 4 on the front lawn of Westfield's South Middle School. Row upon row of flags will be displayed with a ribbon on each flag containing information about the person the flag honors.
Individuals, families and companies may honor active duty military, veterans, police officers, firefighters or first responders, living or deceased. All are welcome to walk among the flags, read the names, listen to and share the stories of those honored. Money donated will be used to fund college scholarships for children and grandchildren of those who serve and protect.
The Serve & Protect Honor Park will include 3 foot by 5 foot American flags and will be on display Nov. 4-25. Flags are $30 each or four for $100.

Shoppers are invited to obtain a “Stocking Stuffer Stroll Guide” at the Westfield on Weekends Store at 105 Elm Street between the hours of 10-5 on November 25, 2017, and shop hours for the rest of the month. The Guide will have a list of the local businesses participating in the Stroll between November 25 and December 22.

Everyone has a chance to learn how to instantly create colorful lanterns, streamers and more for the Lantern Light Parade at this FREE workshop. This year it will be overseen by Santa's elves and jolly Saint Nick himself will be there, thanks to the Rotary Club. Materials will be provided. Lanterns may be used to march in the Lantern Light Parade which kicks off from the Family Dollar parking lot on Franklin Street. Come join the fun and visit Santa at the same time.
November 25, 2017, 5:30 PM - 6:30 PM @ Family Dollar Parking Lot
?Assemble with your lanterns, banners and other creations for the Lantern Light Parade at the parking lot of the Family Dollar store on Franklin Street for 5:30 pm. Dress very warmly in Victorian clothes or as a character from a Charles Dickens novel or dress in white as a member of Father Frost’s Snow Court (snow princes and princesses, snow flurries or friends of Jack Frost). Check in at the WOW table, where the WOWsters will place you and your family in the line of march.

Join the Mayor in this annual event. The tree lighting will take place immediately following the Lantern Light Parade that will end at Park Square Green.
