Join Latino Outdoors Western MA, Adventure East, and the Connecticut River Conservancy in an introduction to canoeing at Hampton Ponds in Westfield! All ages and experience levels are welcome! Latino Outdoors will be covering the cost of parking for the day and will be providing a free lunch at the park after the event ends (around noon).

Latino Outdoors Western MA and Connecticut River Conservancy will be set up in the parking lot next to the boat launch. When pulling into the park, do not park in the main entrance parking lot, and instead head to the second beach parking lot which is to the left as you enter through the main gate. Here, we will give a safety briefing and do introductions. Then, we will head to the kayak/canoe launch which is about a two minute walk away over a semi-paved walkway.

Connecticut River Conservancy will be providing water and reusable water bottles! There is a restroom next to the beach and about a 2-minute walk from where we will be set up. Please be sure to dress for the weather and wear something comfortable. Loose fitting clothes like shorts and t-shirts are recommended but not required.
