In April, representatives from the Westfield Health Department and the Westfield Building Department spoke to a full house at Shaker Farms Country Club during one of our free seminars for property owners and managers. We even have a surprise visit from Attorney Stanley Komack who reviewed some important changes within Housing Court.
The Westfield Police Department will host another free seminar for property owners and landlords on Tuesday, May 30 at 6:00 pm, at Shaker Farms Country Club. An optional dinner and social hour will take place from 6 pm to 7 pm, with the informational portion of the seminar to start promptly at 7:00 pm.
For our May seminar we will have two keynote speakers from Way Finders who will talk about all aspects of Section 8 Housing. Chris Montemayor, Senior Vice President of Rental Assistance Programs, and Eileen Tosado, Director of Rental Assistance Programs will go over everything you need to know about the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP). If you currently have tenants taking advantage of this program, or would like to become a landlord eligible to accept Section 8 vouchers, you don't want to miss this meeting.
There will be on optional dinner for a fee of about $25 from 6-7 pm, followed by the free informational portion of our meeting at 7:00 pm. Although it is not a requirement to RSVP for this seminar, it is incredibly helpful for planning purposes. You can RSVP by clicking this link.
