police-news.jpg

Landlords and property managers, don’t miss the free monthly meeting of the Westfield Crime Free Multi Housing Group this Thursday, February 16, 2017, 6:00 p.m., at Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road, Westfield.

Started by the Westfield Police Department, this organization has been active for over ten years and was created to educate landlords and property managers on issues pertinent to owning, renting and managing residential properties.  Whether you own one property or many, have been doing this for years or are just purchasing your first property, this group offers free education and information to help protect you and get the best possible tenants for your investment.

This month’s meeting will showcase regular monthly speakers Attorney Stanley Komack, whose practice concentrates in Real Estate and Landlord/Tenant matters, Eric Dembinske and/or John P. Weiss, President of Ormsby Insurance Agency, Inc., and members of the Westfield Police Department.  Our special guest speaker this month is H. John Fisher – Author of The Property Management Manual for Massachusetts Rental Owners.  Mr. Fisher will talk about and answer questions on leases, rental agreements, and more.  John literally wrote the book on this subject so this is an event not to be missed.

From 6:00 to 6:30 p.m., is a social half hour, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m., is an optional RSVP buffet dinner for a fee, and at 7:00 p.m., the informational portion of the program will begin.  If you would like to RSVP to purchase dinner, or for more information about this free meeting, please contact Officer Stephen Gonglik at s.gonglik@cityofwestfield.org, or (413) 579-7003.
