The 6th Annual Run Westfield 5k Road Race will take place this Saturday 5/19/18 rain or shine.  As a result of the race several roads will be closed for portions of this event.

Elm Street (and all side streets and access points to Elm Street) will be closed from Franklin Street to School Street in both directions from 7am until approximately 7pm Saturday evening.  There will be no parking allowed on Elm Street in this area (until 7pm), and no parking will be allowed on the west side (southbound lane) of Elm Street in front of the Westfield Athenaeum or the north side of Court Street (westbound lane) also in front of the Westfield Athenaeum until the race concludes.

The race starts in the area of Westfield State University's South Lot entrance and continues eastbound down Western Avenue to Court Street to Elm Street.  Western Avenue and all side streets and main access points such as Granville Road and Lloyds Hill will be closed for the race beginning at approximately 12:45pm and streets will progressively be re-opened between 1:30-2pm (safety permitting) as race participants navigate their way eastbound.

Detour signs are in place in various locations on either side of the Elm Street closure advising motorists how to navigate Routes 20, and 10/202.
