With 2019 comes a brand new year of Westfield's Crime Free Multi Housing Group.  On Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 6:00 pm, we will meet at Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road, Westfield.  Landlords and property managers don’t miss the free November meeting for anyone who owns or manages residential rental property.

January's meeting will showcase regular speakers Attorney Stanley Komack, whose practice concentrates in Real Estate and Landlord/Tenant matters, representatives from Ormsby Insurance Agency, Inc., and members of the Westfield Police Department. This month our speakers will focus on everything you need to know when searching for and screening tenants.  We will have a special guest speaker who is running a local business to assist in finding tenants, showing tenants the apartment/house, screening tenants (credit, criminal and eviction check),and the drafting and execution of rental agreements/leases.  This is the foundation of running a profitable and headache free business. Whether you are a new property owner of this had been your business for the last 50 years, this is a meeting you won't want to miss.

From 6:00 to 6:30pm, is a social/networking half hour, from 6:30 to 7:00 pm is an optional RSVP buffet dinner for a fee of $19.00 per person, and at 7:00 pm, the informational portion of the program will begin. When the dinner menu is determined this notice will be updated.  There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle which goes to cover the cost of meals for guest speakers. If you would like to RSVP to purchase dinner, or for more information about this meeting, please contact Lieutenant Eric Hall at e.hall@cityofwestfield.org, or 413-642-9383..
