Every day more than nine people are killed and 1,000 injured in accidents related to distracted driving.  That’s more than 3,300 deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries every year due to drivers who were distracted by phone calls, texting and other non-driving activity.  Clearly these staggering numbers are preventable and extremely costly. Not only could you receive a civil citation for $40.00 to $105.00 for distracted driving, there could be fatal consequences should you be involved in an accident.  The loss of your own life or that of a loved one is never acceptable. Please, pull over if you need to brush your hair, eat that fast food, or take a call or text.
