[ARCHIVED] Crime Free Multi Housing Meeting for Landlords

Landlords and property managers, don’t miss the free May meeting of the Westfield Crime Free Multi Housing Group, Thursday, May 30, 2019, 6:00 pm, at Shaker Farms Country Club, 866 Shaker Road, Westfield. This is a free meeting for anyone who owns or manages residential rental property.


May’s meeting will showcase regular speakers Attorney Stanley Komack, whose practice concentrates in Real Estate and Landlord/Tenant matters, representatives from Ormsby Insurance Agency, Inc., and members of the Westfield Police Department. This month the topic to be covered will be tenant screening.  This month's guest speaker will be Jeremy Durrin of Background Examine, LLC.  Tenant screening is the cornerstone of a successful business and when done properly makes for a better living situation for everyone involved.  This was one of the main reasons this group was started almost 15 years ago by the Westfield Police Department.  This will be a very important meeting!


From 6:00 to 6:30pm, is a social/networking half hour, from 6:30 to 7:00 pm is an optional RSVP buffet dinner for a fee of $19.00 per person, and at 7:00 pm, the informational portion of the program will begin.  There will also be a 50/50 cash raffle.  Dinner this month will be Chicken Cordon Bleu, Roast Pork Loin, Red Potatoes, and Roasted Veggies.  If you would like to RSVP to purchase dinner, or for more information about this meeting, please contact Officer Stephen Gonglik at s.gonglik@cityofwestfield.org, or (413) 579-7003.
